What to expect
Quite simply, the highest standard of excellence in science editing. Every document is given a thoughtful edit for style and presentation, in addition to revisions for correct use of English. Upon submitting your document you will be contacted within 24 hours regarding the receipt of your paper. A careful reading of your document and a close study of your writing style will occur, then your document will be carefully read and revised, and re-read and re-revised.
Two focused passes of your document will be made checking for clarity and readability in addition to correcting English grammar and syntax. Specifically your document will be reviewed for:
- Logic and coherence
- Style and expression
- Spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Referencing style
Your documents will be returned to you as an email attachment with all suggested changes tracked. You may elect to accept or reject each editing suggestion individually in your edited documents. Additional comments or questions will be inserted as margin comments. In particular, suggestions to fix organisation problems or missing content will be provided as comments. If certain sections are unclear or arguments are illogical or unconvincing these will be noted.
It is a requirement of research degrees that the research be at the forefront of knowledge and as such many students are concerned about the confidentiality of their findings and the preservation of their intellectual property.
